Broward Bark For Life is a family-friendly community event to celebrate Survivors & their Canine Companions that raises money for cancer research & support programs.
Our first Broward Bark For Life event will be on Sunday, February 20th, from 11am – 3pm.
We will celebrate Cancer Survivors and their Canine Caregivers, have a doggie costume contests, kid's area, DJ, and a small vendor market. 100% of Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
We will also have space for the Humane Society Broward, where they will have an education team, and next to them Cassie's Cause (Broward Honor Society Students) collecting food, toys, etc. for the Humane Society Broward.
Register your canine companions (aka canine caregivers; aka fur-ever family members; aka dogs). $10 donation per dog registration in advance. Day of it will be a $15 donation per dog. We will have a limited supply of goodie bags for each registered dog, so we recommend registering early.
We invite our cancer survivors and families to dress up their Fur-ever family member in costume and enter the Doggie Costume Contest.
The categories are: Most Creative, Owner Lookalike, Silliest, and Celebrity Lookalike
We will have a bounce house for the kids. And an arts & crafts station where we will set up Bark For Life paws. For a donation of your choosing, you can decorate and honor/remember a loved one and put on our Bark For Life Board.
There will be a Chance Drawing booth with awesome baskets and items. During the event you can donate for chances to win 1 (or more) of a number of prizes. Bring a donation for the Humane Society Broward (pet food, toys, supplies, etc.) and drop it off at the Cassie's Cause booth, and receive 1 entry for chance drawing.
Thank you to Jammin' Express, who will be providing the soundtrack for the event.
There will be snack concessions for donation, and a couple food vendors onsite. More to be announced.
In an effort to reduce contact we will have QR Codes and links for accepting donations and registration fees during the event. Please have your card saved and bring your cell phone.
